The Chinese Embassy in Malta sees off the delegation of teachers and students from the Science China Corner of St. Margaret College Secondary School for China Visit

On July 2, Counsellor Peng Yijun went to the airport to see off the delegation of teachers and students from the Science China Corner of St. Margaret College Secondary School in Malta.

Counsellor Peng said that President Xi Jinping replied to the teachers and students of China Corner in August last year, encouraging more Maltese youth to actively participate in people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries. This visit showcases the determination and confidence of carrying on the bilateral friendship between Malta and China. The teachers and students are expected to witness the great achievements of China's development in the new era, experience the unique charm of Chinese culture and fully feel the warmth and friendship of the Chinese people.

Mr. Azzopardi, senior teacher of the China Corner, thanked the Embassy for the thoughtful arrangements for the visit and expressed his willingness to take this opportunity to promote dialogues and exchanges between the youth of China and Malta and enhance the friendship between the two peoples.

The delegation, composed of 2 teachers and 11 students, will visit Beijing, Jining and Chengdu during their stay in China and participate in the China International Youth Cultural Exchange Camp of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
