On February 1, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai was invited to attend the press conference of the National Alliance of Rare Disease Support - Malta. Mrs. Michelle Muscat, President of the Alliance, Hon. David Agius, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Jo-Etienne Abela, Minister for Health and Active Ageing attended the event and delivered remarks.

Mrs. Muscat announced that Malta will participate in the European plan that integrates care and support for patients with rare diseases. The collaboration and exchange between Maltese and Chinese hospitals in this field can be of benefit to Maltese patients.

Ambassador Yu said that raising social awareness of rare diseases and providing constant and effective support for the patients and their families is a meaningful cause. China will continue to work closely together with the Alliance to promote the academic exchange and share medical resource for the benefit of the health and wellbeing of our two peoples.
