Ambassador Yu Dunhai Meets with the Team from the Visual and Non-visual Network

On November 29, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with Mr Noel Farrugia, former minister of Malta,  and Ms Maria Elich, Secretary General of the Visual and Non-visual Network of Malta. They exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation to benefit visually impaired people.

Mr Farrugia said that the Network helps visually impaired people better integrate into society and achieve inclusive and equal development by supporting them to participate in art, sports and other activities. Malta and China have enjoyed a good friendship. The two sides have always helped each other in difficult times, thus establishing a profound friendship. The Network hopes to strengthen communication with the Chinese side to promote cooperation to benefit visually impaired people of the two countries.

Ambassador Yu highlighted that China's programs for people with disabilities including impaired visual have been developing vigorously under the firm leadership of the CPC. China adheres to the values of equality, integration and sharing to help people with disabilities better receive education, get employed and start businesses, participate in society equally and realize their own value. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malta, the bilateral relations have always developed healthily and stably. China looks forward to exploring cooperation with Malta in relevant fields to further benefit the two peoples.
