On 14th May 2007, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malta, H.E. Mr. Chai Xi called on Dr. Godwin Grima, Principal Permanent Secretary and secretary to the Cabinet at the Auberge de Castille, Valletta. Ambassador Chai and Dr. Godwin Grima held a freindly meeting recalling the longstanding and close friendship between China and Malta.

Dr. Godwin Grima is also Deputy Chairperson of the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development, Deputy Chairperson of the Malta Information Training & Technology Ltd, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Malta Council for Science & Technology, Chairman of the Institute of Public Administration and Management and Member of the National Family Commission in a personal capacity.
