| Chinese Envoy: Six Business Potentials to be Explored |

| "There are great potentials in bilateral trade", said Ambassador Zhang Keyuan at a business dinner for top Maltese Entrepreneurs on Monday, December 13. He hoped the long-time friendship be expanded into cooperation in trade, mutual direct investment, research and development and in many other areas when he mentioned the up-coming 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malta. Highlighting the encouraging good economic performance of China and Malta in the back drop of current international turbulence, Ambassador Zhang shared his thoughts on the potential fields for further cooperation, such as tourism, renewable energy, bio-technologies, IT and banking. He also expressed his confidence in the experience and expertise of Maltese business community as an ideal partner for many Chinese companies to jump-start their business again in Libya and other Northern African countries.
Addressing the 40th Anniversary as a good opportunity to review the achievements in the past, Dr. Tonio Borg, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Malta acclaimed it as a basis for new political commitments as well and called on Chinese partner to improve bilateral commercial relationship and help to achieve 2020 Strategy.
The dinner was hosted by Chinese Ambassador Zhang Key uan coordinated with Maltese-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. More than 30 Maltese Entrepreneurs attended the event.
