Chinese Ambassador to Malta, Mr. Chai Xi Accompanies the President of Malta, H.E. Dr. Fenech Adami and Mrs. Fenech Adami to the Exhibition of the Chinese Terracotta Warriors

On the morning of July 13th, the President of Malta; H.E. Dr. Fenech Adami and Mrs. Fenech Adami paid a visit to the Silent Warriors-the Chinese Terracotta Soldiers Exhibition currently on display at Malta National Museum of Archeology. The visit was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Chai Xi, the Chinese Ambassador to Malta, Mrs. Zhang Rufei and Mr. Zheng Hao, the Director of China Cultural Centre.

On viewing the exhibits, President Fenech Adami happily recalled his visit to Xi'an, home of the terracotta soldiers, during the state visit to China and lauded that the majesty of the terracotta soldiers' military formation was absolutely amazing. President Fenech Adami expressed his admiration for the longstanding civilization of China and thanked Ambassador Chai and the Chinese staff for bringing over the state-of-the-art artefacts.

Silent Warriors-the Chinese Terracotta Soldiers Exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon. Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, Prime Minister of Malta in March this year. The exhibition makes such a hit that the number of daily visitors stands at around 500. It has garnered a lot of attention from the media. It is reported to be the most successful and spectacular exhibition ever held in Malta over the past centuries.
