Events to Be Held at China Cultural Centre in Malta in June and July

It is a great pleasure to inform you that in June and July there will be the following events:

 

EXHIBITION OF MALTA CHILDREN'S PAINTINGS ON BEIJING OLYMPICS  

Time: Office Hours, June 4th to 25th

Venue: Art Gallery, China Cultural Centre

 

China Cultural Centre in Malta has organized for the first time a children's painting competition entitled "Dreams of Beijing Olympics" on the occasion of the World Children's Day. The competition has attracted a lot of interesting and creative entries from children in several interested schools. This exhibition showcases the winning and some of the participating works, which embodies children's beautiful dreams for Olympics and their understanding of Olympic spirit.

 

 

EXPERIENCE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL AT CHINA CULTURAL CENTRE

Time: 19: 00p.m., June 18th 2007 (Monday)

Venue: Multi-Functional Hall, China Cultural Centre

The 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar year is an important day for the Chinese people. The day is called Duanwu Festival, or Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated everywhere in China. This festival dates back to about 2,000 years ago with a number of legends explaining its origin. As a traditional Chinese festival, it still has its vigor and vitality. CCC invites you to experience the interesting festival through talk, documentary and tasting of delicious food. SUMMER COURSE OF SPOKEN CHINESE

CCC will offer its short summer course of spoken Chinese in July and early August. The course will be an easy and accessible approach to conversational Chinese. It is open to both beginners and those who have already got some knowledge of the language. The course will comprise of 10 sessions given on Tuesday and Thursday every week between July 3 to August 2 (both days included). The Centre will offer two alternatives: morning lessons from 10: 00 to 11:30 and evening lessons from 18: 15 to 19: 45. The tuition is LM15 for members and LM20 for non-members.

REMINDER

China Cultural Centre in Malta will start summer office hours 8: 30 to 13: 00 from late June to September. Library hours will accordingly be 10: 00 to 13:00, Tuesday to Friday every week.
