Chinese Ambassador to Malta Mr. Chai Xi pays a visit to Mr. Pullicino, the Minister for Rural Affairs and Environment

On May 25th, Ambassador Chai Xi paid a visit to Mr. Pullicino, the Minister for Rural Affairs and Environment. While talking about the situation of bilateral cooperation on trade and economy, Chai mentioned that there was much potential for cooperation in field of agriculture. Both sides should strengthen the exchanges, deepen the mutual understanding, and find common interests to cooperate. Mr. Pulllicino expressed his consentment and also introduced the situation of Malta's adjustment and promotion of agricultural policies after joining the EU. Meanwhile he deemed that China and Malta could work on introduction of environment-protection equipment and energy –saving equipment. He hoped to lead a delegation to attend Agriculture Technology Fairs held in China, as well as welcome Chinese Hi-Tech enterprises to attend Malta International Fairs with a purpose to expand exchanges with Maltese farmers.
